No one can dispute the fact that Kanye West is a musical genius!

Last night Kanye debuted the visual for his new song “New Slaves” on the sides of 66 buildings in 6 countries around the world including the U.S, Canada and France just to name a few. Yes, that’s right. This man projected his new video on these buildings around the world and it definitely made people stop and pay attention. Marketing at it’s finest!

First of all I’d just like to say despite all the hoopla Kanye has going on with the media and Kim Kardashian, “New Slaves” is on point and definitely a song that the industry needs and that the world needs. Kanye isn’t trying to sugar coat anything in this song but people need that realness in a day and age like this.

In a nut shell “New Slaves” talks about how black people are still slaves just new slaves to jewelry, corporations, cars and other material things. He also touches on racism as well. The song is very real and unapologetic. The video is straight forward, simple and in your face. I love the fact that it’s kind of gritty and in black and white. This video gave me goosebumps at one point!

Kanye is ALWAYS innovative and taking his career and music to the next level. He always sets himself apart from what everyone else is doing and goes left field and that’s why I admire him so much as an artist. He takes risks and is not afraid to say what other people are afraid to say.

“New Slaves” is super dope and I can’t wait to hear the mastered version and whatever else Mr. West has up his sleeve. He NEVER disappoints.

Hopefully this song will heighten people’s awareness of what’s going on in our generation and create conversation and dialect and spark change.

This man is a genius. It is undeniable whether you like him or not.

He snapped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kelly Rowland’s new song “Dirty Laundry” has everyone talking!

On the new track Kelly Rowland gets super personal while singing about being envious of Beyonce’s success and being abused in a past relationship.

The track is pretty bland as most Kelly Rowland songs usually are but I think people’s fascination with the song is the fact that Kelly is actually giving us a small dose of what life has been like for her. Kelly is usually very private so this shakes things up a bit.

It’s refreshing to finally hear a song from Kelly that doesn’t involve sex.

Check out Kelly’s new song “Dirty Laundry”  which will be featured on her upcoming album, “Talk A Good Game”.

Speaking of Solange, Kendrick Lamar recently hopped on her song “Looks Good With Trouble” off her “True” EP.

In the song Solange sings a sweet, soft song about someone who she is feeling and wants to get into some trouble with. Kendrick added a decent little verse at the end where he talks about being on tour and thinking about a woman he’s feeling.

Solange’s new Complex Magazine spread is EVERYTHING!!!

Seriously though, I’d have to say that Solange for Complex is the sexiest magazine spread that I’ve ever seen. Yes, it beats out both Beyonce and Rihanna’s GQ covers put together! Yeah, I said it.

What I love about Solange’s Complex spread is that it’s subtle yet sexy. Yes she’s showing a little bit of skin but she didn’t have to strip down in her panties or pose fully naked with just a jacket on to prove that she’s sexy. Her beauty is really coming from within. That hair, that skin tone and those legs… *Sheesh*

I love how the shoot looks super vintage. It’s super 70’s Hollywood.

Solange is KILLING the game right now and she’s doing it in her own way.

Be very afraid!

Are you feeling it as much as I am?!

Kendrick Lamar finally released a video for his “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” hit, “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe”.

The “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe” video had an interesting message which was death to molly. Molly is a drug that has become popular in the rap world and entertainment industry as a whole. I thought that was kind of cool since everyone is so pro molly these days. The video also featured a cameo from comedian Mike Epps as a preacher who baptized Kendrick in a pool full of liquor, a line from Kendrick’s song “Drank”.

A$AP ROCKY is coming out with a new documentary which follows his crazy rise to fame from the very beginning until now.

The documentary is titled “Suddenly” which is also an amazing song by the same name from A$AP’s latest album, “Long Live A$AP. In the song Rocky talks about how his fame seemed to happen overnight, so it was only appropriate that he give the documentary the same name.

This documentary looks like it’s going to be very entertaining and inspiring! I cannot wait to see it! Sometimes we see all the glitz and glamour of a person but forget that it is a process to getting there. I love seeing success stories!

No word yet on when we can be expecting the documentary but I will definitely keep you guys updated!

Are you looking forward to it as much as I am?

Summer is right around the corner which for most women means a new look. If you’re hesitant to dye your hair, cut your hair or do something too drastic then you should go with an ombre look for your lips!

First of all, if you don’t know what ombre is, that’s when a darker color transitions into a lighter color. A lot of women have been doing ombre hair and even ombre nails.

Doing an ombre lip is a great way to add a pop of color and to stand out for the summer without a permanant commitment.

All you need to do an omber lip are two different lipstick colors. The first thing I like to do is put on my base color first all over my lips. Then I take my second color and lightly dab it in the middle of my top lip and bottom lip until it’s lightly visible. After that I blend outward and that’s it. You can leave it as is or add a gloss over top of the lip stick to really make it shine.

Some lipsticks that I love using when doing an ombre lip are the Tarte Glamazon Pure Performance 12 Hour lipsticks. They are super creamy in the texture and last for hours on end so you don’t have to keep reapplying your lipstick 100 times a day. I also like using the Buxom Full Bodied lipstick. The thing I love the most about the Buxom lipsticks is that they are super creamy as well and have a wide variety of colors to chose from. Both these lipsticks can be found at Sephora.

Take a chance! Become daring! Step outside of your comfort zone this summer and try ombre lips! Feel free to send pictures to let us know how they turned out!

Solange is super underrated and her new video for her song “Locked In Closets” proves just that!

“Locked In Closets” is from Solange’s latest EP, “True”. The video (which is only almost two minutes long) takes place in Brooklyn. Of course Solange is on the scene looking like she didn’t try hard but still looking very chic and stunning, hitting up house parties and riding a bike.

I really like the feeling the video gave me. It was super “artsy” and creative. I even liked the song and definitely want to hear more! People really need to be on their game because Solange is coming for them! She is dancing to the beat of her own drum and setting a new standard in today’s industry. She’s very refreshing!

Leah LaBelle really surprised me with her newest track “Lolita”.

If you don’t know who Leah LaBelle is by now, she is Pharrell Williams protege. I’ve heard of Leah here and there but never made an effort to listen to any of her songs. I’m glad I finally did!

“Lolita” is very Solange meets Iggy Azalea in my opinion. Leah LaBelle seems to be eccentric but sexy as well.

The video consisted of a bunch of hot guys following Leah around as she pranced around in cute outfits and made them drool over her every move. The song was decent and I’m ready to hear more from Leah LaBelle.

Karl Lagerfeld is carrying on the untouchable Chanel legacy with his newest short film, “Once Upon A Time…”.

“Once Upon A Time…” is a short film put together by Lagerfeld that briefly follows the rise of the iconic brand Chanel back when it first launched. “Once Upon A Time…” stars Keira Knightly as Chanel’s founder, Gabrielle (CoCo) Chanel.

“Once Upon A Time…” started off a bit dull and boring but surprisingly I ended up loving it! The story was very inspirational because it showed CoCo first starting out with her brand and how no one believed in her up until her store was packed and she couldn’t keep anything on the shelves. I really enjoyed the portrayal of Paris in those days and how chic and sophisticated everyone was.

The fact that Chanel is still around to this day and going strong is pure inspiration and a testament that if you have a plan and a goal, no matter what people may say just keep on going because you never know how far you can take it unless you try. 100 years later Chanel still stands.

I give it five stars!
