Everyday someone stops me and tells me what beautiful skin I have…friends, family and even random people on the street. So, I decided to share my skin care secrets with all my readers to let you know flawless skin can be achieved without spending hundreds of dollars on makeup and expensive skin care products. The most important factor to gorgeous skin is drinking tons of water EVERY SINGLE day and cutting juice and soda out of your diet. Water removes toxins from the skin, keeps the skin hydrated and provides a healthy and natural glow to the skin. Doctors recommend that you drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. This may sound impossible but it’s not! Think about how many times you pour a cup a juice a day or how many bottles of soda you drink a day. Just replace the juice and soda with water whenever you get thirsty. And if you’re like me, and water just does nothing for you as far as taste, squeeze a little bit of lemon in your water to give it a great flavor. Also, make sure you wash your face with a good cleanser every morning and every night before you go to bed. I use the “Ole Henriksen Red Tea Foaming Cleanser”, which leaves my skin looking spectacular! The foaming cleanser removes dirt and impurities but is very gentle. It also gives your skin a beautiful glow. The foaming cleanser is only $30 for a 7 ounce bottle and can be purchased on Sephora.com. You also need to make sure you exfoliate your skin 2 to 3 times a week. Exfoliating gives your skin a deep cleansing deeper than a regular cleanser can do. I use the Ole Henriksen “Walnut Complextion Scrub”. You should only exfoliate a few times a week though because scrubs are harsh on the skin and dries the skin out as well. That is why it is very important that you keep your skin moisturized after every wash. A good moisturizer is key to heathy and beautiful skin. I use the Murad energizing pomegranate moisturizer which is only $22. It is light weight, hydrates and brightens the skin. It is great and a MUST HAVE! If you’re good to your skin, your skin will be good to you. Drink tons of water, cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize and you will have skin so flawless people will think you’re wearing makeup!
